About Us

We are a small frame workshop, where frames are still made and gilded by hand. To us a frame is more than a border: made and gilded by hand, it sets a picture off and protects it for years. That is what our work is about.

We enjoy gilding and restoration most of all. Gilding a frame properly, or bringing a tired old frame back to life, is the best work there is.

We work by hand. Cutting and joining the moulding, preparing and gilding, cutting mounts and glass, step by step, with patience. It is careful work, and that is where the difference from a machine-made frame lies.
